Premiere VI
Back here again, just in time for Premiere VI.:)
I recalled why I did not post at the same time last year, or pretty much for the whole of that year, and was glad. The sky was engulfed in haze then. And so was my mind.
One year on, I have begun to adapt. I still miss school. I miss my freedom. I miss the satisfaction of having full control of my work and being appreciated for it (because tuition was paid). I knew then that holidays would arrive soon and everything would be alright. I just needed to win over myself and an opportunity would come.
Now, holidays are meager and insecurities are abundant. With the increase presence of graduates that appear to lack the required skillsets for jobs nowadays, the value of school is being undermined. As much as I disagree, perhaps, the reason why schools could offer so much enjoyment was because students had the option to do what they liked. Sadly, for most, that may not have been technical or valuable enough for the workforce. As the recruiter from Google commented, it is not that college degrees are not important, but more thought needs to be given over what students are obtaining from the expensive investment in education. After all, Google knows everything now.
A little too late.
I cannot be ungrateful, I know. But sometimes, when I tremble at a task, or fail to successfully defend my ideas, I fear. If I cannot do this, can I do that?
Dedicating this song to my dreams
And this to everyday
