When your favourite singer becomes a mother, when pop groups you listen to have most members in high school, when your waist grows only in one direction--outwards, when people see you and start giving advice on the future, it has caught up.

There has always been fascination about time travelling. We have the time traveller's wife, the time machine, time travelling themes in dramas and the time turner in Harry Potter. Time must have taken too away much.

What has time stolen from us?

Youth.This question was asked after the song was aired and this was the first response. Indeed, youth is the most obvious probably because it is largely manifested physically-e.g. the transition from spectacles to lenses, from bouncing to aching. This is not to mention being infected with germs that came from a random no where. The enthusiasm, drive and vitality needs more coaxing.

Innocence. Reading between the lines, choosing carefully what you can say, being cynical and having friends disappearing with a 'meet up soon'...will doe eyes still work? Maybe that is why cost benefit analysis is so fashionable. This begs the question of why decisions are so hard to make if everything can be so easily calculated.

Tears. A rather creative one. Time has the ability to wipe tears away. If forgetting can make space for more meaningful thoughts then let those troubles be gone. Have faith.
