Red Velvet-All natural
Couldn't understand the hype over red velvet cupcakes and macaroons. With a rare approval to use the fragile oven, I started a day long baking process. Red velvet cupcakes were somewhat successful but not macaroons. Perhaps that is why macaroons, which consists largely of sugar, egg white and almond flour, are so expensive. Red velvet cupcakes are essentially like normal cupcakes but with a massive amount of red colouring. It isn't very healthy and meaningful to add so much colouring just for the sake of seeing 'red'. Hence, I decided to search for recipes without the artificial colouring. Got my hands stained with beetroot juice but this really means homemade right?
